what a shocker this place was. i was underwhelmed by the self-service breakfast, especially with hot drinks—seriously, table service, anyone? also, my air conditioning malfunctioned for days! with so many hotels around, why wasn’t i given a better room upgrade? i almost considered giving a good review but, sorry, just couldn’t.

The staff were super nice and accommodating.
I can't believe how inconvenient the parking was. it was incredibly stressful trying to maneuver my car into those tight spaces. To make matters worse, the room we were given had significant issues with the air conditioning, making it impossible to sleep comfortably at night. the breakfast offerings were disappointing for a hotel of this caliber, lacking any real variety.

view from the balcony across the bay, less than 10 minutes walk to restaurants, oasis of calm despite city location
Air conditioning turning off at night during warm temperatures is unacceptable!!! Cleaning was lackluster, leaving old stains and unclean areas!!! The parking space is tight, making it stressful to navigate!!!

Stunning sea views in Funchal! 🌊🌞
What a lekker spot! The view from our room was just breathtaking, watching the sunset over the bay. Breakfast outside was such a vibe with all the delicious options. Staff were super friendly and so helpful, made us feel right at home!
Just one thing, the parking area was a bit tight, had to do a bit of maneuvering with our bakkie.

Had a great time with friends! Enjoyed a stroll in the tropical gardens, then relaxed with a dip in the pool. The location is perfect for a pleasant walk along the coast towards Praia Formosa. Fun entertainment programs and live music also added to our experience. Would recommend!
There were some ants in the room during our stay, which was not pleasant. A bit of attention to pest control would definitely help future guests.

The breakfast selection was impressive, especially the variety of alternative milks. however, I found the room's curtains outdated. I'd go back anytime for those views.

We really enjoyed the hotel's ideal location, just a short walk to fantastic restaurants and shops. The tranquil atmosphere allowed us to relax and unwind after exploring the local sights, and the stunning balcony views over the bay enhanced our stay significantly.
We found it disappointing that there was no dining option available at the hotel itself.
